Booties Rockin’ Everywhere

Booties, booties, booties, booties rockin’ everywhere
Booties, booties, booties, booties rockin’ everywhere
Booties, booties, booties, booties rockin’ everywhere
Rockin’ everywhere, rockin’ everywhere
I found you, my new booties.
Pair them together and lace em’ up too please…

Guys. I’ve been singing this song in my head for a week now because I’ve been so excited to share my lyrical genius-ness with you…and also my favorite booties. (We’re talkin’ shoes, people.)

Speaking of shoes, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. So there you go – I have a shoe problem.  Let’s call it a healthy addiction. The point is, I have more shoes than I realistically need, but I truly believe that a good pair of shoes is essential to completing an outfit.

They key to building a good wardrobe is mastering your basics first. Focusing on your boots game as a cold weather staple will help you have some go-to essentials in your arsenal that will carry you through the season and into spring. I like to think of booties as the little babies of tall boots. They have enough ankle coverage to keep your skin hidden from the chill, but also short enough to show off the full length of your leg. (Don’t you dare hide those toned calves!)

I’m excited to be sharing with you some of my favorite booties from my shoe collection today! At the bottom of this post, you’ll be able to find a recap of the links to all the shoes pictured here.

Steve Madden Neoma – Brown Leather

This Steve Madden bootie loves a pumpkin spice latte while watching the Bachelor and wears lululemon leggings that are totes magotes super adorbs. In other words, these booties are basic. Real basic. They don’t have any special embellishments and they aren’t particularly unique. But sometimes, you need basic. Like when I’m running out the door in the morning after waking up late and don’t have time to think about what to wear (this is every other day), I know I can throw on these basic booties and they’ll probably look okay with whatever clothes happened to be at the top of my drawers.

I also like how these booties are tight around the ankles. The tight fit makes the line from your shoes to your pants more seamless and the whole outfit just looks…better. There aren’t any zippers, rather there are elastic panels on both sides to allow for the opening to give a little while squeezing your feet into the boots. The little loophole on the back of the bootie allows you to use your finger to pull up on the heel and assist in getting your foot in the shoe. That loop makes the biggest difference! I can’t be the only one that stomps around the house like a T-rex trying to jam my feet into my shoes.

By the way, the pictured booties I’m wearing are in the “brown leather” color.

Circus by Sam Edelman Holt – Black/Black White

Next up: these amazing faux leather Circus by Sam Edelman booties. (If you’re clicking the link, the color you’re looking for is black/black-white). The gold spiked heel embellishments along with the white and black patterned leather sold these shoes for me. The two inch heel height gives me the little boost I need to elongate my legs and let me live a fantasy where I’m 5″4′ instead of 5″2′. But at the same time, the heels are short enough so that they’re extremely comfortable to walk in.

I will say that the quality of these booties are a slight step down from the flagship brand, Sam Edelman. The faux leather isn’t quite as nice as the faux leather found in true Sam Edelman booties, and you can tell the block heal is a cheaper, faux material. The price is hard to beat though, and I still think these booties will last me a while. I’ve worn them a couple of times already with no issues and they’ve stayed super comfortable! See how I styled them here.

Circus by Sam Edelman Holt – White Gobi Leather/White Croc

I loved those black booties so much, that when I discovered a similar style in white, I had to snag those too. These white faux leather Circus by Sam Edelman booties are just like the black ones above, but in a white faux croc style. What has surprised me about these shoes is that they don’t get dirty very easily. I’ve worn them outside a couple of times and they’ve stayed clean and white! Even if they do get dirty, the faux leather is super easy to wipe clean. Both these booties run true to size! I sized up a half size, as I generally do in boots and booties and I slightly regret doing so. Stick with your normal size!

I love these booties so much I kind of want them in the camel color too. But three shoes of the same style is too much right? My shoulder devil is telling me no. Hmm…

TOMS Leila – Grey Felt Shine Boucle

Okay, I’ve already raved about the TOMS leila booties in my Wintery Whites post.  And now I’m about to rave about them again. (If you’re clicking on the booties link, the color you’re looking for is Grey Felt Shine Boucle).

These. booties. are. so. comfortable. AND CUTE! If you’ve read my Wintery Whites post, you already know that the memory foam soles make you feel like you’re walking on clouds. The grey wool mixed with the metallic boucle makes for such a unique look. And then there’s the suede tassel detail on the back zipper that I’m also in love with.

I have definitely wore these booties a ton this winter through salt-stained sidewalks, snow, and dirt; and they still look good as new. I seriously don’t have a single bad thing to say about them. The comfort, quality, and style of these TOMS booties are pretty hard to beat.

TOMS Desert Wedge – Olive Herringbone

If you haven’t already noticed, I love TOMS shoes. In case their charity work and company mission of “improving lives” isn’t good enough reason for you to purchase their shoes, the comfort factor is! I’ve never tried on a single pair of TOMS shoes that weren’t outrageously comfortable. These herringbone TOMS desert wedges are no exception.

The neutral color of these booties make them easy to wear with pretty much everything. I love wearing them with olive pants, a white chiffon button up, and fur vest. Hmm…that’s a good idea for a future blog outfit.

Sam Edelman Paige – Taupe Rose

There’s no doubt that blush colored fashion is growing in popularity. I love everything in blush! So when I saw these rose Sam Edelman fringe booties on clearance at TJ Maxx, I snagged them up real fast. Unfortunately, they’re not available online at TJ Maxx, but I managed to find them on Amazon! You can also find other colors of the same booties here and here. By the way…these booties were originally $140, so the price now is a great deal!

The braiding details on these shoes are my favorite part. The materials are super high quality, as Sam Edelman shoes always are. However, the soles are a little stiff and it has taken some time to break them in. You can see how I styled them in my post about Body Peace and the Power of Image.

Want to see even more booties? Scroll through a compilation of some of my favorites below.  (Don’t worry, I don’t own all of these – I just found them while shopping online!) Click each individual photo to shop! All of them are steals under $50!

If you have any questions about any of the shoes I’ve shown today, let me know in the comments below, or shoot me a message from the contact page. Keep rockin’ those booties people! (This time I’m not only talking about shoes.)

    1. hahaha I couldn’t help myself! I’ve had this song stuck in my head for about a week now. 🙂

  11. Do you think the Sam Edelman Paige booties run true to size? I read some people thought they ran 1/2 size too big. Super cute.

    1. Hey Cary! I actually think these fit pretty true to size! Mine are size 6 and I wear a 6 in most shoes. Though sometimes I size up for boots and booties, I didn’t need to for the Sam Edelman Paige booties. I wouldn’t be able to wear thick socks with them but since these hit pretty low on my ankle, I like to wear them with thin no-show socks. Hope this helps!!
